Ana Maria Lorenzo
Profesora de Pilates & Kinam
Ana María Lorenzo Rodríguez, a native of Seville, was born into a family of artists, with a grandmother who was a flamenco dancer and a father who was a musician. She began dancing and playing castanets at the age of five.
Her passions have always been dance, sports, and education.
She has been dedicated to the body and movement since 2002, the year she earned her Aerobics certification and began her professional journey. In 2004, she completed a Higher Technician degree in Physical and Sports Activities, and in 2005 she became certified in Pilates through FEDA. At the same time, she discovered Oriental Dance and took daily classes in Seville.
She has worked in Oriental Dance for over 20 years, both professionally and as a teacher. In 2012, she opened her own school, Halaluna, which focused primarily on Oriental Dance but also offered classes in Pilates, contemporary dance, and yoga. In 2019, she decided to close the school and began focusing more deeply on Pilates in her pursuit of understanding her body and addressing her own injuries and ailments (many caused by dance).
She currently works as an instructor of Pilates, swimming, and Oriental Dance.
Driven by her maternal side and love for teaching and her children, she helped create a school with several other families, where she took classes on free education inspired by alternative schools such as Ojo de Agua and Rebecca and Mauricio Wild (non-directive education). Today, that school is called Crianza Montessori and is located in Alcalá de Guadaira. It is still active, although Ana is no longer involved.
She is currently continuing her training in Pilates apparatus and Kinam.
She is passionate about studying not just the body as a vehicle, but its connection with the mind and soul. A spiritual woman, she works on her mindset to grow every day. For her, there are no limits she cannot reach—she lives life with joy, love, and devotion
